CREATIVE VISION
As the Creative Director and Lead Designer, I spearheaded the development of this award-winning 3D platformer, leading a cross-disciplinary team of 40+ developers from initial concept to global Steam release.
CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Studio Leadership: Managed production schedules, milestone deliverables, and cross-team communication for a 40-person team, simulating a professional AAA studio pipeline.
- Core Systems Architecture: Designed and tuned the "3C's" (Character, Camera, Control), ensuring the platforming mechanics felt responsive, fluid, and accessible to a wide audience.
- Creative Direction: Defined the project's aesthetic pillars and narrative tone. Directed Art, Audio, and Narrative leads to ensure a cohesive "cozy adventure" experience.
- Quality Assurance & Polish: Led the final polish phase, overseeing optimization and bug-fixing to secure a stable launch that won "Best Gameplay" at the Intel University Games Showcase.
ACCESSIBLE SYSTEMS
Designed a mechanics-first approach to platforming that prioritized "Game Feel." Tuned jump arcs, coyote time, and input buffering to create a forgiving yet rewarding experience.
COMPANION MECHANICS
Developed a unique AI companion system where the player must coordinate with a creature to solve environmental puzzles, blending solo play with cooperative logic.
ENVIRONMENTAL STORYTELLING
Crafted a world that tells its own story. Without reliance on heavy dialogue, I designed levels where ruins and props hinted at a lost civilization for players to uncover.
