MISSION BRIEF
PROJECT STATUS: Shipped (Steam)
As the Creative Director & Lead Designer, I spearheaded the development of Zoelie, leading a cross-disciplinary team of 40+ developers from initial concept to final release.
This role required a balance of high-level vision holding and granular design implementation. I established the core pillars of gameplay, managed the production pipeline across Art, Code, and Audio departments, and ensured the final product met the rigorous quality standards required to win industry-level competitions.
KEY CONTRIBUTIONS
- Team Leadership: Managed task tracking, milestone deliverables, and cross-team communication for 40+ people, simulating a professional AAA studio environment.
- Creative Direction: Defined the aesthetic and narrative tone, ensuring all assets—from character art to level lighting—served the core "cozy adventure" vision.
- Core Systems Design: Designed the player controller, interaction systems, and the companion mechanics that formed the heart of the gameplay loop.
- Polish & Optimization: Led the QA and optimization phases, resulting in a bug-free launch that secured the "Best Gameplay" award at the Intel University Games Showcase.
